When you hear the name Walkers, you often think of walkers crisps. Both of these companies portion out there products to a range of people. Younger people generally purchase more of these products than older people. In the McDonald advert, they are trying to tell the audience that their eatery isnt just for teenagers, but for all ages. They take aim testifyn this through the characters in the advert. They too are trying to put up that McDonalds is a class less place where you backside go to eat, they show this by using different people with different colours of skin and showing costumes of builders, school kids, actors and etc. the people too do not speak to one another. The only signal to each oth er is when the man and woman look at each other and nod as if they are approving of the food they have been served. The people look happy and are moving briskly away to the sound track. The clothes that people where show the occupation that they are involved in. The Walkers advertisement however is a lot more relaxed and humorous. The first scene starts off with a group of children. The scene is also set in the past, maybe the early 1950s, you can tell this because the road is full of cobble stones, the clothes and hair styles are old fashioned, also the paradigm of the overall picture and the buildings in the background have all been made duller. The story seems to be that a little boy has been bull... ...re they could have fitted that in. I also think that they will be successful in promoting that anyone can go to McDonalds because business people who are in a rush may admit something quick to eat and relate quick to McDonalds. However there is a dow n side that McDonalds is unhealthy and that may go against them. The Walkers advertisers in my opinion should have made their advert relate and apply to a much wider age range. They had a good idea about using Gary Liniker because football fans might essential to eat what Garys eating so they buy those crisps. I think the ad wont be as successful as the McDonalds ad but still promote walkers a bit. Out the two advertisements I feel that the McDonalds ad will be the most successful because the product price has been reduced and they are large-hearted over a wider audience range.

This month has the opportunity to entice people learn about women from all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds, and encourage women to admire those whove made a difference. There are many Native American women whove fought and died for the rights of their tribe and sex, but she is by far one of my favorite ones.Through literature, music, and politics, she fought to change the thoughts and beliefs of White America so their views of Native American culture could be better ones. Name of Important Woman I chose to write about one of my favorite Native American authors and activists, Gertrude Simmons Bonnin. Zitkala Sa, which means Red Bird in the Lakota dialect, is a name she gave herself after she left the tribe and graduated from college (Giese 1996) so she is known by both names.She was born(p) F ebruary 22, 1876 at the Yankton Sioux Reservation (Johnson and Wilson 198827) and she died at 61 and was buried in Arlington Cemetery (due to her hus evictds service in World War I) in 1938 (Hoefel 1999). Bonnin not only was one of the leading figures in the Pan-Indian causal agency she dedicated her vivification to improving the social and educational awareness of American Indians (Johnson and Wilson 198827).She used her writing skills to fight for new legislation that favored Native Americans. Her involvement as editor program of the American Indian Magazine, a quarterly magazine for the Indian Rights Association (SAI) helped to keep her people informed of any new legislation (Johnson and Wilson 198830). Life History It was at this age when Ellen Tate Iyohiwin Simmons decided to send her daughter to the same boarding school she attended so Bonnin would have the ability to fend for herself later in life among an increasing number of palefaces (Hoefel 1999).The boarding school Gertrude Bonnin attended was run by Quaker Missionaries in Wabash, indium. She was criticized because many felt she showed no gratitude for the kindness and support that the white people had given her in her education (ibid. ). She married Captain Raymond Bonnin, who was a mixed Native American just like she was. Together they had a son and lived on the Ute Reservation in Utah for fourteen years. It was there she actively got involved in the movement for changes within the Native American community.Through her efforts, Bonnin gained an ally named Montezuma who echoed Bonnins anti-BIA sentiments and supported her fight to grant the Indians full citizenship rights so they could determine their own fate (Johnson and Wilson 198834). Contributions During her lifetime, Bonnin accomplished a quid in the name of her Native American heritage. In 1916, the Bonnins moved to Washington DC where she acted as secretary and editor of the American Indian Magazine. She fought to ban the use of peyote amongst her people.She aired such controversial issues as enfranchisement, Indian military service in World War I, corruption in the BIA, and allotment of tribal lands (Hoefel 1999).
